Hi, I'm Maggie.
I'm a Creative Director and Brand Marketing Strategist with a simple belief: design is never just aesthetic. How something looks shapes whether people take it seriously, whether they keep reading, and whether they trust what's in front of them. Strong work has to earn attention and drive outcomes. I've never believed you have to choose between the two.
My background spans brand systems, marketing strategy, and visual storytelling. I've led creative at the institutional level, building scalable systems that bring consistency, clarity, and impact across complex organizations. I recently completed my MBA to deepen the connection between creative and business strategy. It sharpened how I think about brand: not just as expression, but as a lever for growth, positioning, and long-term value.
My roots are in journalism, where I learned early what it means to be a backpack journalist - one person, one bag, ready to do whatever the story requires. That instinct never left me. Today I call it being a backpack marketer - someone who can lead the strategy, write the copy, design the assets, shoot the photos, edit the video, and run the social. Someone who sees the full picture because they've worked every corner of it.
Creative work is not something I clock out of. In my free time I'm still designing, making photographs, and chasing light - because it's more than my day job, it's how I engage with the world. Travel is my longest-running obsession and my greatest source of inspiration, putting me in new places with new stories to find. I come home from every trip grateful for a fresh perspective and new ideas to bring back to the work.
